Short and very sweet today. We have the arrival of the quite lovely and insanely well built Solid State Logic SIX desktop mixer. A super flexible piece of kit with infinite routing capabilities (well, not infinite but more than a few!).
The only thing I and many others agree with is that a built-in audio interface would have been a masterstroke. I am aware however that this is a very small form factor with a huge feature set already. I’m sure we would have forgiven an extra inch or two though.
However, never fear…introducing the SSL 2 the audio interface. Now it makes sense (winking emoji). This is the SSL 2, not the 2+ which I believe has the addition of midi capabilities.
Anyway, I am a very lucky boy and a huge thank you to a certain person (you know who you are) for hooking me up. I am hoping to get it all hooked up ASAP but pretty sure it will enhance things for my overall sound. I’ll report back when I have more info.
My parting gift is a couple of vids if you are interested in finding out a bit more about the Company from Oxford, England’s new more consumer-based products.
In other news, no record deliveries today but there will be quite a lot to go through on my next Fruits Of The Dig episode…
